Our story

A story of
friendship and fire

Del Mar began with two lifelong friends and one shared belief — that food this considered should still feel generous, warm and human. Between them, Sergio and Isabel carry more than eighty years in some of the world’s most exacting kitchens and dining rooms. Together they’ve brought the light, salt and colour of the Mediterranean coast north, into an Edinburgh room made for lingering.
